Mums & Bubs pilates class is specifically designed for the new mother and her bub. This class is able to provide a safe, fun and rewarding environment to promote strength, fitness and function while interacting with other mums and their babies.
This class is run by a qualified pilates teacher, under the guidance of a womens health physiotherapist. The first 6 weeks post-birth are a demanding time while your body recovers from birth and you adjust to feeding, caring and bonding with your baby…. and the sleep deprivation.
To ensure that the exercises are suitable and safe to be performed it is recommended that you start pilates following your 6 week post-natal check with your health care provider (GP, obstetrician or midwife).
Mums & Bubs pilates classes aim to re-activate and improve the deep core muscles, postural, back and glut muscles to prevent injury and improve pain and function.
